Yukon Solitaire

Play Yukon solitaire free — like Klondike, but every card is in play and you can move any face-up card at all.

Time0:00 Moves0 Score0

Yukon is Klondike's bolder relative. There's no stock and no waste — all 52 cards are dealt to the seven tableau columns from the start, most of them face-up. The twist is movement: you can pick up any face-up card along with every card on top of it, regardless of whether they form a sequence, and drop the group onto a card one rank higher in the opposite colour. That freedom makes Yukon a rich, mostly skill-based puzzle. Free, 24/7, with undo and hints.

How to play Yukon solitaire

Seven columns are dealt much like Klondike, but each column past the first gets extra face-up cards, so the whole deck is on the table. You build the four foundations up by suit from Ace to King as usual. In the tableau you build down in alternating colours — but the key rule is that you may move any face-up card together with the pile sitting on it, even if that pile is a jumble. Uncover and flip face-down cards, and use empty columns (which any King group can fill) as staging space.

Yukon strategy & tips

Because you can drag messy stacks around, Yukon is about excavation: plan how to dig out the face-down cards without burying the cards you'll need next. Expose long face-down sections early, keep an eye on which cards you must free to release each Ace, and don't send cards to the foundation too eagerly — a mid-rank card left in play is often the bridge that unlocks a column. Yukon rewards looking several moves ahead more than luck.

Frequently asked questions

How is Yukon different from Klondike?
Yukon has no stock — every card is dealt to the tableau — and you can move any face-up card together with all cards on top of it, not just ordered runs.
Do the cards I move have to be in sequence?
No — that's the defining Yukon rule. You can lift any face-up card and whatever sits on top of it, then drop the group onto a card one higher in the opposite colour.
How do I win Yukon?
Build all four foundations up from Ace to King by suit, moving every card home.
Is it free?
Yes — free, 24/7, no download and no signup, with undo and hints.
