Spider Solitaire

Play Spider solitaire free — build descending suit runs across ten columns and clear the whole board.

Time0:00 Moves0 Score0

Spider is the big, patient cousin of Klondike, played with two full decks across ten columns. There are no foundations to feed one card at a time; instead you assemble complete King-to-Ace runs in a single suit right in the tableau, and each finished run of thirteen is lifted off the board. Clear all eight and you win. Free, no download, with undo and hints — a meatier solitaire that unfolds over many moves.

How to play Spider solitaire

104 cards are dealt into ten columns; 54 start face-down and the rest wait in the stock. You build down regardless of colour — any nine on any ten — but only cards of the same suit move as a group and pay off. When a column reaches an unbroken King-down-to-Ace in one suit, that run is removed automatically. Tap the stock to deal one card onto every column at once — which is why you can never leave a column empty at deal time.

Spider strategy & the three suit levels

Spider is won by suit discipline: whenever there's a choice, stack same-suit so runs stay clean and movable. Attack face-down cards, keep an empty column in reserve as a workshop, and tidy the board before every fresh deal. Difficulty is set by suit count — one-suit is a gentle warm-up, two-suit forces real choices, and four-suit Spider is one of the hardest solitaires around.

Frequently asked questions

How is Spider different from Klondike?
Spider uses two decks and ten columns, and instead of foundations you build King-to-Ace runs by suit inside the tableau; each finished run is removed.
Why build by colour but score by suit?
You may stack any card on one a rank higher regardless of colour, which keeps play flexible, but only an unbroken same-suit run can move as a group or be removed.
Which suit level should I start with?
Begin with one-suit to learn the flow, move to two-suit for a challenge, and try four-suit once you're comfortable.
Is it free?
Yes — free, 24/7, no download and no signup, with undo and hints.
