Scorpion plays like a one-deck cousin of Spider. All the action happens in the tableau: you build down by suit and aim to form four complete King-to-Ace sequences, one per suit. Unlike Spider you can move a card (and its pile) onto the next-higher card of the same suit even when the pile beneath is a mess — so digging out buried cards is the whole game. A tiny three-card stock is your only reserve. Free, 24/7, with undo and hints.
How to play Scorpion solitaire
Forty-nine cards are dealt into seven columns (the first rows partly face-down) and the last three cards are held back as a one-time stock. You build down in the same suit — a red seven of hearts onto the eight of hearts — and, crucially, you may move any face-up card together with everything piled on top of it, sequence or not. Flip face-down cards as you free them. When you run out of moves, deal the three stock cards one to each of the first three columns. Form four King-to-Ace suit runs to win.
Scorpion strategy & tips
Scorpion is a puzzle of order of operations: because you can move messy piles, the challenge is freeing face-down cards without trapping a card you'll need. Work on the columns with the fewest face-down cards first, try to keep one column short so it can empty, and think hard before spending the three-card stock — it's a single, irreversible boost. Many deals are winnable with careful planning, so use Undo to explore.
